Shengda Delivers Customized Plastic Mechanical Water Meter Project in Tanzania

Shengda Water Meter Co., Ltd. has successfully completed a customized plastic mechanical water meter project for a key Tanzanian client, further strengthening its presence in the East African water metering market. The customer required a reliable, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant solution suitable for Tanzania’s diverse installation environments and varying water quality.

To meet these needs, Shengda engineered a plastic-body mechanical water meter designed for durability, anti-rust performance, and stable measurement accuracy. The meter’s lightweight structure reduces installation difficulty while maintaining high metering reliability, making it ideal for both urban and rural water supply systems.

During the project, Shengda worked closely with the client to implement full customization—including body color, private logo printing, threaded connection standards, dial layout, and packaging specifications. This ensured seamless compatibility with local pipeline standards and aligned with the customer’s branding requirements.

After strict factory testing, the customized meters passed all inspections and were approved for final delivery. The Tanzanian customer expressed strong satisfaction with Shengda’s product quality, engineering coordination, and rapid customization capabilities. Both parties are now discussing follow-up orders and potential upgrades to AMR and smart metering solutions in future phases.
